Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement)

Ashes, Glory to Cruelty, is a cloak woven with stands of Shadow Silk, and platinum that was dyed in the blood of Aranna, The Fallen God.

This blacked cloak with dregs of deep crimson red, reminiscent of a foul sunrise was made by the Tiefling lord, Gundragaaz The Cruel, a warlord of The Third Age. Many believe that it was the plot of Gundragaaz that ultimately led to the downfall of Aranna. Some say the whole purpose was to complete this cloak, others believe it was just to turn the tides in favor of the darker deities and the forces of the abyss. The cloak itself despite its origins is striking and expertly crafted. Additionally,  It almost seems to absorb light itself.

Magical Item. While attuned to Ashes, Glory to Cruelty you gain a +3 bonus to your armor class.

Fading Light. While attuned to this cloak, you have advantage on stealth checks. Additionally, all nonmagical sources of light within 30 feet of you are extinguished.

Blood of The Fallen. This cloak gives you advantage on saving throws against magical effects. Additionally, you may use your reaction to absorb any damage dealt to you by a magical source, and store it in the divine blood that still flows within the fibers of the cloak. If you do so, reduce the damage that would be dealt to you by half and Ashes, Glory to Cruelty becomes charged. You may expend the charge of your cloak and your next attack deals an additional 3d8 necrotic damage on hit. You can only use this reaction 3 times a day, regain all uses each day at dawn.

Brand of the Tyrant. While attuned to this cloak, celestial beings within 60 feet of you become hostile towards you. Additionally, when you attune to this item a brand burns itself on the inside of your right palm. It is the symbol of The Fallen God, with a slash through its center.
