A rare necklace, forged from two kinds of obsidian, said to be made by High One Zhoukoudien himself to enhance psionic powers. First there is the blacksmoke obsidian, forged into circular chains, each piece of chain looking like a deep dark abyss. Secondly, there sits a large chunk of rainbow obsidian in the center of the necklace that shines vibrantly with all the colours of a prismatic spray.

Abilities

While you are attuned to this item, you gain the following abilities:

• Exert your Will: You gain additional ways to influence your psionic spellcasting. You learn the Metamagic options of Quickened Spell and Distant Spell from the sorcerer class. You can use only one Metamagic option on a spell when you cast it, unless the option says otherwise. Additionally, you gain 5 sorcery points to spend on these Metamagics (these points are added to any sorcery points you have from another source but can be used only on Metamagic). You regain all spent sorcery points when you finish a long rest.
• Flexible Psionics: If you spend 1 minute studying the psionic energy stored within the rainbow obsidian, you can replace one of your prepared spells with a different spell from your class of the same level. You can do this three times per day, at which point the rainbow obsidian loses its power until the next dawn. Planar Mind: Once per day, you can cast planar travel using this necklace without components, but only on yourself. You remain on the chosen plane till you use your action to return to the plane your originally came from, or you disconnect your psionic connection to the previous plane as an action. Once you used this feature, you cannot do so again till you finished a long rest.

• Lingering Psionic: While you wear this necklace, you can make your shadow appear as that of a large amphibious creature.
