Wondrous Item, very rare (requires attunement)
The amulet appears to be a tiny jeweled dagger made of platinum on a golden chain. Inscribed on the dagger are Dwarwish runes that read "Greed is good".
The amulet has to be attuned to in order to gain access to its properties.
While the amulet hangs on your neck, it grants advantage on Persuasion checks when wagering or haggling.
The amulet has 3 charges for the following properties. It regains all charges daily at dawn.
- Feed the Greed: you may use 1 charge to locate within 60 ft of you any gem valued over 100g regardless of cover. If sensed, you are compelled to act to get the gem for the next hour, and will do anything to acquire the gem, escalating your means each attempt. If you fail to acquire the gem, you take 3d10 psychic damage.
- Make Them Jealous: you may use 3 charges to cast Incite Greed using the amulet as a component. The spells DC is 15.
Curse. This amulet is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you.
- As long as you remain cursed, you are unwilling to part with the amulet, and the amulet magically finds its way back to you if thrown away or destroyed.
- Within 10 minutes after using the amulet your first ability check is made at a disadvantage as visions of unbelievable fortune murk your mind.
- While cursed you are commanded by Abbathor to increase the size of your wealth. If you fail to acquire any gold or platinum during the day, you must sacrifice your own blood to the amulet at sundown, taking 3d6 necrotic damage.
