Weapon (longsword), artifact (requires attunement by a creature that corrupted it)

Corrupted from an exalted state, this sword was once a Sword of the Seraph that was plunged into Elixir of the Bloodstained. Its blade no longer glows faintly, but its leather grip and any non-metal substance on the sword has been stained dark red.

Attunement and Curse. The creature that corrupted the sword cannot unattune from the sword. Additionally, the attuned creature can send it to a pocket dimension or resummmon it, no action required. If the creature dies, the sword is automatically sent to this pocket dimension. Additionally, while the sword is summoned, the attuned creature is magically compelled to keep the sword on their person.

Bloodstained Resilience. You have resistance to fire, cold, lightning, and poison damage.

Enemy of the Gods. You deal double damage to holy symbols, shrines, and temples while wielding this sword.

Frightful Presence. Your Charisma score becomes 20, unless it is already 20 or higher. Creatures also have disadvantage on saving throws to become frightened of you.

Bleeding Edge. This sword has the properties of a sword of life stealing and those of a sword of wounding.

Zealous Strikes. You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic sword.

Random Properties. The sword has 1 minor beneficial property and 1 major beneficial property, each determined by rolling on the Minor and Major Beneficial Properties tables in chapter 7 of the Dungeon Master’s Guide.

Sentience. The Sword of the Bloodstained maintains a sliver of its sentience after being corrupted, and it is able to tell who the attuned creature was friendly towards while they were not cursed by the Elixir of the Bloodstained. When the attuned creature attacks such a creature, it wails in despair.

Destroying the Sword. The sword is near impossible to destroy, but can be destroyed by being fed to the divine fires at the heart of Mount Celestia. Casting the dispel evil and good spell (holy version only) on the sword while the caster and sword are within a temple of the gods every seven days for a year reverts the sword to a Sword of the Seraph. The main issue is with obtaining the sword from its wielder.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
