An intricately designed longsword, with two swans forming the guard. Legends say it was the sword that smited the orcs and goblins of Sharn and began the age of humans.
While attuned it confers the following benefits:
- Will to Live. If the attuned user drops to 0 hp, they may make a Constitution Saving Throw to maintain 1 hp instead. If the attuned user suffers more than the negative of their maximum hp then this power is ineffective.
- Magical Affinity. The Swan Song grants the attuned user five attunement slots.
- Soulbound. If lost or stolen, the sword physically returns to its attuned user at the beginning of next round. If it cannot return physically it magically teleports back.
- "The Swan Song". This is a powerful legendary magical effect of WISH level quality that triggers when the attuned user truly dies. The magical effect is unknown and varies by user (TBD by DM). When the attuned user dies, they can no longer be brought back into existence by any means on any plane. Legendary stories have described a white radiant blast ring that emanated from the sword strike.
The artifact also confers the following detriments:
- Only one. The attuned user may not wield any other weapon.
- Burn of the Unworthy. While currently attuned, any non-attuned user attempting to hold the blade must make a Wisdom Saving Throw or be burned with 1d8 radiant damage.
- Until Death. The Swan Song may not be unattuned.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
Notes: Set: Attunement Slots, worthy creature (one chance DC 12 Wisdom Check), Versatile, Sap
