When you nock an arrow on this bow, it whispers in Elvish, "Swift defeat to my enemies." When you use this weapon to make a ranged attack, you can, as a command phrase, say, "Swift death to you who have wronged me." The target of your attack becomes your sworn enemy until it dies or until dawn seven days later. You can have only one such sworn enemy at a time. When your sworn enemy dies, you can choose a new one after the next dawn.
When you make a ranged attack roll with this weapon against your sworn enemy, you have advantage on the roll. In addition, your target gains no benefit from cover, other than total cover, and you suffer no disadvantage due to long range. If the attack hits, your sworn enemy takes an extra 3d6 piercing damage.
While your sworn enemy lives, you have disadvantage on attack rolls with all other weapons.
Proficiency with a longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
Notes: Damage: Piercing, Damage, Combat, Bane, Ammunition, Heavy, Range, Two-Handed
I play this on a Rouge with Bracers of Archery and Elven Accuracy. Love it
i play a elf rogue archer and this would be perfect for that
In D&D there is no such thing set to stone. If DM - Player both agrees on the particular piece of change then that piece of change is cannon for that setting.
As google found it on enworld.org
"Swift defeat to my enemies" =
Nuquernarauaka a'gothrim. - "Swift defeat to my enemies." (denoting respect to enemies as well)
noo-kwair-na-raow-ka a-goth-rim
Nuquernarauaka a'gothie. - "Swift defeat to my enemies."
noo-kwair-na-raow-ka a-goth-ee
Gurtharauka a' ron ya crone amin. - "Swift death to those who have wronged me."
gurth-a-raow-ka a ron ya croan amin.
Oathbow =
Cuvesta - Oathbow.

lmao, I would totally make my players say it every single time
That problem with hitting downed enemies is the prone condition, not the long range property of the bow, so it wouldn't work. You would get a standard attack though (since you have perm-advantage on sworn enemies), regardless of distance.
wws
"Hmm. It appears the cause of death was a bow fired vertically at this location"
neat
thats really not very good damage a turn at tenth level duder.
- If you casted suggestion. Or did deception on a target, to equip and attune to the bow. It wouldn't know and realize the effects so .. it doesnt specify if im the sword enemy.. -
"Unless of course you don't speak elvish"
imagine being in the hostile scape you said earlier but you just continually hear random gibberish every time you try and defend yourself

Working on a weapon right now for a Ranger/Rogue player that is a mix of the dragon bow and this one. For this instead of 1 target, he can chose a category of monster to gain this bonus
it’s a magic weapon
I can do 80 damage with it at 6th level being a level 5 ranger and level 1 blood hunter
Im gonna try to use this bow as a pact weapon for a hexblade owlin
real good
I got one and called it cupcake, it now wishes a sweet sugary death upon my foes
