Wondrous Item, very rare
This hefty wooden wheel depicts an assortment of humanoid faces. It is adorned with carrying straps and contains a small reservoir for ceremonial oils.
A creature can use an action to spin the wheel and cast reincarnate through it, consuming the spell’s material components in the process. Any creature returned to life in this way has hair made of flowering vines, and smells faintly of fresh earth and morning dew. Once a creature has been returned to life by the wheel, it is unable to be reincarnated in this way for 1 year.
Is there a limit to how many times you can cast reincarnate a day with this? If an entire city was destroyed, could you just walk around spinning the wheel until everybody is back?
Long as you spend an hour for each person and have the material components worth 1k gp for each then yeah.
I assume if you've got the resources you can freely reincarnate a whole town.
Well they have to be dead for less than 10 days, so if you started right away:
Each takes an hour.
So 24 in a day
If run non stop, for ten days that's 240 people if a whole town is destroyed. Maybe a few others if they died later from injuries.
So I guess it depends on the size of the town or city.
It's 1,000 gp a pop, so pretty unlikely.
I love the reincarnate spell
"consuming the spell’s material components in the process." so... if you have the stuff, yes...
It's the cciiirrrrrcccclllle of liiiiffffee
