Aegis Faer

A set of bronze gauntlets that are warm to the touch, and surround themselves in a sphere of white light when used. When the attuned paladin uses their Lay on Hands ability on a creature, they may instead grant them a shield that absorbs an amount of damage equal to twice the points spent for the Lay on Hands ability. This shield disappears once it has absorbed all of the hit points it can handle, or at the start of the paladin’s next turn. Only one creature can benefit from this shield at a time. If the paladin uses this ability on another creature before the current shield has expired, the first recipient immediately loses all temporary hit points.

The gauntlets allow the wearer to manipulate the Weave around them, allowing them as a bonus action to recover a spell slot of a level equal to (or below) their proficiency bonus. This can be done a number of times a day equal to their proficiency bonus, but no more than once per short rest.

The gauntlets also provide a faint shimmering aura of protection around the paladin, providing them with an additional +1 to armour class.
