Amalgamite Lodestone

This device is used by Gith travelers to mark destinations and help navigate the shifting expanses of Limbo, acting as a compass of sorts, and is made from a chaotic metal found in Limbo, amalgamite. Once locked on to a specific location, this lodestone will always point in the direction of the shortest route to this location, regardless of distance or what planes the lodestone and target location may be located on. This may include pointing towards the nearest method of planar travel, and does not necessarily constitute a safe or easily traversable path, merely the shortest one possible. Unbounded lodestones are rare, and these devices are only created by master Gith craftsmen. Binding an unbound lodestone requires the device to be located at the desired target location, and a 4-hour ritual must be performed to bind the lodestone and lock it in. If the location the lodestone is locked to is "destroyed" in a major way, the lodestone may become unbounded, and will begin to spin wildly. Otherwise, a lodestone may not be bound to a new location once bound.
