Weapon (maul), artifact (requires attunement)

A slab of flesh fashioned onto a monstrous femur that was once part of Akmal's Magnum Opus. The flesh binds to the arm of the creature wielding it, becoming an extension of their wielder not unlike an additional limb.

Akmal, obsessed with gaining the favor of Archmage Rabbadon, went to great lengths to ensure his success in spite of his rivals. This very weapon is a testament to his horrid experiments, for even now the flesh lives on despite lacking a body or mind.

While attuned to this weapon, this weapon can be wielded with one hand as it wraps itself around its wielder's arm as an extension of the said appendage. While held, you cannot be disarmed by any means and requiring no action, you can equip and unequip this weapon as it orients itself onto your back.

As an action, you can perform a single telegraphed yet devastating attack as the maul gains a mind of its own, transforming into a mass of spinning flesh and bone. You suffer a -10 to hit. If this attack hits, it deals an additional 1d6 damage. If you roll a natural 20 to hit, the attack deals an additional 2d6 damage, for a total of 8d6+10 damage.

Proficiency with a Maul allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.

Notes: Heavy, Two-Handed, Topple
