This Shortsword was once in the possession of the first Great Elvin king, a ranger who united all of the Elves into one group. Upon his death, the Blade was seen as a holy item for many years, until the elves fragmented once again. It somehow wound up in the Lair of a Blue Dragon. Part of his soul still dwells within the Sword, giving it a peaceful personality, it wants to be reunited with the rest of the Elvin King's equipment, especially its twin.
This Shortsword appears to have been scorched very recently. Small trench like structures stretch across the blade and have a red tint, while the rest of the blade is an ashy color. When it's charges have been used, it glows red hot, and ethereal flames engulf the blade. These flames cause no harm to anyone. The blade is so sharp, it deals an additional 2d6 pints of damage.
Between the longsword and shortsword, his knowledge of foes and languages is split, while this blade knows every language, and shares them with it's master when attuned, the longsword contains the information of the weaknesses of every creature.
Once per round, on a hit, a target must make a DC18 con saving through or take 5d8 fire damage, or half as much on a successful save.
This Shortsword is a sentient weapon that can speak All languages, both telepathically, and verbally. It has darkvison to 30ft, and can fully understand thieves cant.
While attuned to this weapon you have resistance to fire damage.
When Attuned to BOTH blades the shortsword is able to hear anything within a hundred foot radius. The blade is unable to hear whispers outside of a fifty foot radius.
This weapon has five charges
It can cast Fire Bolt for 1 charge, or for all five charges, it can cast Delayed Blast Fireball at 9th level. Except; Can only be cast centered on the blade. It stays on the blade until you decided to to release the spell, drop concentration, or the the time runs out. You have advantage on the saving throw. On a success you take no damage.
You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. In addition, the weapon ignores resistance to slashing damage.
When you attack a creature that has at least one head with this weapon and roll a 20 on the attack roll, you cut off one of the creature's heads. The creature dies if it can't survive without the lost head. A creature is immune to this effect if it is immune to slashing damage, doesn't have or need a head, has legendary actions, or the GM decides that the creature is too big for its head to be cut off with this weapon. Such a creature instead takes an extra 6d8 slashing damage from the hit.
