The portable tank is a 2-inch thick container constructed of polished crysteel custom fitted to wear like a backpack for a medium sized humanoid. Leather straps with buckle fittings allow the user to wear it underneath traditional backpacks.
The tank itself features a screwable 20-inch diameter disk that opens into a pocket dimensional cylindrical space 10ft deep and 5ft wide. The tank is designed to hold liquids and is water tight when closed. Maximum liquid capacity is 600 cubic feet which would normally be a weight of 3000lbs but the magic of the container remains a constant 3lbs. Opening and closing the tank requires a full action.
The crysteel construction is able to provide a +1 AC bonus from behind only. Material is 20 hardness with 20hp.
Crysteel properties enable the use of psionic and psychic powers freely between the interior and exterior spaces of the Portable Tank.
Placing a Portable Tank inside an extradimensional space created by a bag of holding, portable hole, or similar item instantly destroys both items and opens a gate to the Astral Plane. The gate originates where the one item was placed inside the other. Any creature within 10 feet of the gate is sucked through it and deposited in a random location on the Astral Plane. The gate then closes. The gate is one-way only and can’t be reopened.
