Weapon (sling), artifact (requires attunement by a throwing the item)

The Avalanche of Echos appears as an unassuming smooth, gray stone; detect magic reveals an aura of transmutation magic around the stone. The Avalanche of Echos automatically attunes itself to you the first time you throw it appearing back in the palm of your hand 6 seconds later. While attuned, the Avalanche of Echos will always appear back on your person 6 seconds after leaving your inventory, and cannot be removed unless through the use of remove curse.

The Avalanche of Echos automatically converts all other magic items in your inventory into copies of itself. These additional copies are all attuned to you under the same attunement slot. When attunement to the original Avalanche of Echos is ended, all of the copies of the stone revert back to their original form.

You can use your action to make an improvised thrown weapon attack, or a ranged attack using a sling with the Avalanche of Echos. When one stone is used to make an attack, the others all follow; make separate attack rolls, each against the same creature, for every stone in your inventory. Each stone does 1d4 bludgeoning damage.

Proficiency with a Sling allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
