Markdule’s spellbook contains the following research notes:

“Minor Magic Weapon: The creation of a minorly enchanted weapon requires an unusually high quality weapon from which to start. It must then be daily coated in the blood, fat, or viscera of a suitable creature such as an Armanite, Abishai, Dhergoloth, Hellwasp, or similar fiend for two weeks. Then, also daily, while still slick with liquids the weapon must be enchanted as a magic weapon, at the end of two weeks time the enchantment will become permanent. One presumes a moderate to major magic weapon might be possible through a similar process, but this has yet to be confirmed.”  — Markdule the Mage

Markdule is a lesser wizard of minor renown who’s spellbook was stolen by a small band of sellswords. While his career boast only average accomplishments for a wizard of his level of competence, he is never unsurprised when others have not previously heard the moniker “Markdule the Mage.”
