Small, pitch black, brittle plates of adamant are affixed in rows to this set of armor. While attuned to this armor, when elemental damage (acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder) is taken the adamant gives resistance to the wearer. In addition, this armor provides a +1 bonus to AC.

When taking elemental damage, if the damage exceeds 10 points after the resistance, roll a d6. On a 3 or lower, a plate is destroyed. If all 10 plates are destroyed, the armor becomes +1 padded armor.

This armor consists of a coat and leggings (and perhaps a separate skirt) of leather covered with overlapping pieces of metal, much like the scales of a fish. The suit includes gauntlets.
