Aegis

This round shield is expertly crafted steel with beautiful accents of brass, copper, and bronze. Its face is adorned with the image of a medusa head with twinkling diamond eyes. 

While holding this shield, you have a +1 bonus to AC. This bonus is in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC. This shield has 3 charges the may be used for the abilities below, it regains these charges on a long rest.

1 Charge: As a reaction when you take damage you can activate this shield to turn to stone. You become petrified until the beginning of your next turn.

2 Charges: As an action you can point the shield at a creature and cast the Flesh to Stone spell with a DC of 16.

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
