Amethyst of Lightning

This lavender-hued crystal is an especially fine amethyst that when examined closely glows with a gently sparkling light.

When held in the palm the wielder will feel a pleasant tingling. If held tightly in a fist the energy intensifies and the wielder's arm will begin to arc with lavender-hued electricity. The sensation is not unpleasant to the wielder and will remain for as long as the wielder maintains a fist, or until discharged with an unarmed strike. The strike inflicts 2d10 of lightning damage on a hit, in addition to any ordinary unarmed strike damage.

The item has one charge only. It cannot be recharged.

After discharging the amethyst is worth 50gp.
