This Amulet is a simple silver housing encasing a clear gemstone in the center. The wearer of this item may cast a spell of 1st level or higher targeting this item that does either fire, cold, lightning, or thunder damage. Doing so causes a fragment of the spell to become embedded in the amulet for 24hrs. While infused with magical power, the gemstone's appearance changes to match the damage type of the spell that was cast; bright red, orange, and yellow for fire, and is hot to the touch, swirling white and light blue for cold, and is freezing cold to the touch, crackling with electricity for lightning, and gives a slight static shock upon touching it, and swirling clouds of dark grey and black, for thunder, and vibrates violently to the touch.
While embuned with magical power, this amulet grants the wearer resistance to the damage type of the spell that was cast into it. Alternatively, the wearer can us its reaction upon taking either fire, cold, lightning, or thunder damage from a magical source to cause that magic to power the amulet for 24hrs, granting the same resistance to the triggering attack. However the amulet is powered, it cannot be used to absorb a new damage type until its current magic has faded at the end of the 24hr period.
