Weapon (spear), legendary (requires attunement)

The Ashandarei is a seven-foot long, black-hafted spear with a foot and a half-long sword blade in place of a spear point, slightly curved and single-edged. The blade is adorned with two ravens, and the shaft has an inscription, written in Abyssal. The inscription, translated, reads: "Thus is our treaty written; thus is agreement made. Thought is the arrow of time; memory never fades. What was asked is given. The price is paid."

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Twice per day, after you have made an attack roll, but before you know if it succeeded, you can "toss the dice" - roll 2d6. If you roll a 12 you add 1d6 to your damage roll, and double the damage rolls in addition to the benefits of rolling a between 7 and 11. If you roll between 7 and 11, you can do a battle maneuver without expending a superiority die, or Dodge, Dash, Disengage, or Hide as a free action. If you roll between 3 and 6, you have expended one "toss of the dice" but nothing happens. If you roll a 2, then you drop your weapon, are knocked prone, and cannot do a reaction until your turn in the next round. Once both tosses have been expended, you cannot use this feature again until after completing a long rest, upon which both charges are reset.

Proficiency with a Spear allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
