Created by Clerics of the Tempest domain, Sorcerers of the Storm or by the servants of the Storm Giants, these ornate bows are infused and refined with extraordinary power. When drawn back, the string of these bows spark alight with magical energy, creating an arrow of mystic power. While harmless to the attuned user, any other person who pulls the bow to fire an arrow will fall victim to it, receiving 3d6+3 in Lightning damage, dropping the bow in the process.
You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. On a hit, any arrow fired from it will deliver an addition 3d6+3 Lightning damage to its target.
If snapped or broken, the magic of this bow erupts from it uncontrollably, delivering a Thunderclap with 7d6+4 lightning damage, a range of 100ft, and a DC Con save of 23.
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
