"This axe burns hot with the heart of a volcano!" - Karadir Fyreforge
The Axe of Clan Fyreforge has been passed down from each generation of Thane to the next, finally landing into the hands of Karadir Fyreforge. However after the tragic events that befell Clan Fyreforge, Karadir has discarded this axe.
Karadir described his Clan's axe as forever burning. Never once has this axe's flames been extinguished, even when submerged in icy waters, the fires continue to burn, boiling the very water it's in. The runes engraved on this axe, their meaning lost to time, allow creatures immune to fire to somehow be magically burnt.
You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. Fire erupts from the axe blade, never to be extinguished. These flames shed bright light in a 40-foot radius and dim light for an additional 40 feet. It deals an extra 2d8 fire damage to any target it hits. In addition, ignore resistance to fire damage for targets hit by this axe only. If the target hit is immune to fire damage, treat it as resistant to fire damage instead.
Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
