Awakened
In its awakened state the arbalest's runes glow with a faint blue light, and it gains the following benefits:
- The weapon’s bonus to attack and damage rolls increases to +2.
- The force damage dealt by the weapon increases to 1d6.
- You can invoke an additional effect in place of dealing damage when you hit with an attack: You cast hold person on the target. The save DC for this effect is 15, and it can't be used again until you finish a short or long rest.
Proficiency with a Heavy Crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Push. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can push the creature up to 10 feet straight away from yourself if it is Large or smaller.
