The Armor of the Abyssal Nights was created by an artisan who killed a Glabrezu demon. It is a red and black suit of studded leather made from the hide of the Glabrezu demon. It's attributes are as follows:
- +2 to AC while wearing
- Resistance to fire damage for the user
- At the center of the chest plate there is a carved image of a Glabrezu demon. Four silver fangs gleam from its mouth. Whenever the wearer is within view of Abyssal writing, the fangs glow and bekon the user to hold some of their flesh (a forearm, or finger) to raised mouth on the armor. If the user does so- they take 1D4 damage as the mouth draws their blood, and then for the next 10 minutes the wearer of the armor can understand Abyssal writing.
CURSE: Whenever the wearer of this armor takes a long rest they must roll 1D6. If they roll a 6, then they are wracked with nightmares created by the vestige of the demon. Due to the nightmares the long rest will only count as a short rest. If this happens two long rests in a row, the sleep will count as neither a long, nor a short rest and the wearer will continue after waking up with one level of exhaustion. It this happens three long rests in a row, they will be visited by the slain demon and the DM/GM will determine the outcome of that nightmare conversation. One the attunement happens the player character cannot remove the armor without a remove curse spell OR by being entirely submerged in holy water.
Made from tough but flexible leather, studded leather is reinforced with close-set rivets or spikes.
Notes: Resistance: Fire, Bonus: Armor Class, long rest, or short rest- as long as the user dreams while wearing the armor- the armor attunes and activates.
