Wondrous Item, legendary (requires attunement by a spellcaster)
This amulet is suspended on a mithril chain, depicting a beautiful opal stone representing Catha being transited by a slick, oily red stone - what could only be a depiction of Ruidus.
Dormant
The amulet grants the following benefits in its dormant state:
- The amulet has 8 charges, and regains 1d4 + 2 charges expended daily at dusk.
- While wearing the amulet, the wielder can expend some of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it, using their spell save DC and spellcasting ability: faerie fire (1 charge), haste (3 charges).
- You can breathe water.
- You gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed.

- When the wielder deals damage to a shapechanger, the creature must make a saving throw against their spell save DC. If it fails, it instantly reverts to its original form, and can’t assume a different form for 1 hour.

- The amulet's charges increase to a maximum of 20, and it regains 1d6 + 4 charges expended daily at dusk.
