Whilst this weapon is upon your person you gain proficiency in the survival skill. If you already have this proficiency, you gain expertise instead.

Ancestors of the Blood

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon and it never needs sharpening.

When you rage your ghostly ancestors infuse your greataxe with power, making it glow with spectral energy. When you deal damage with your Ancestral Greataxe you deal an additional 1d8 radiant damage whilst raging.

Your Ancestral Greataxe causes a critical hit on an attack roll of 19 or 20.

Ancestors of the Sight

Your Ancestral Greataxe allows you to speak more directly with your familial spirits, so as to absorb some of their wisdom. Once per short or long rest you may cast the Enhance Ability spell (on yourself only). Once per day you may cast the spell Divination as a ritual. These spells require only the axe itself as the material component.

Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
