Appearing as a Direstone Runic Wand (homebrew item created by Tonystfn), after many adventures with a skilled artificer it merged with his All-Purpose Tool revealing its true form. While retaining the abilities of both items, its transformation has revealed new abilities dependent on the artificer in question. It takes the form of a screwdriver with a gem as its handle.
Any Artificer attuned gains an additional active infusion slot (use the Override Infusion Limit button on character sheet to allow for it).
An Alchemist can change the damage type of a spell he/she casts from one type to another staying in its same group. Groups are Bludgeoning/Piercing/Slashing, Fire/Cold, Thunder/Lightning, Acid/Poison, and Radiant/Necrotic/Psychic.
An Armorer may switch between Arcane Armor types with a bonus action.
An Artillerist's Eldritch Cannon remains until dismissed and can be summoned with a bonus action.
A Battle Smith may cast Mending as an action on his/her Steel Defender but must expend one of its Hit Dice if done this way.
The wand also retains the functions of the two items increasing spell attack rolls and the saving throw DCs by 1 as well as while holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 or more of its 7 charges to trace one of the following runes in the air to invoke its properties (spell save DC 15):
Algiz. You can expend 3 charges to grant 1 creature you can see within 10 feet of you resistance to fire damage for 1 hour.
Eihwaz. You can expend 2 charges to cast the arcane lock spell. When you use this spell to lock a second object, the spell ends on the first one.
Hagalaz. You can expend 2 charges to cast the shatter spell.
Kenaz. You can expend 1 charge to cast the burning hands spell, or 2 charges to cast the heat metal spell.
Raidho. You can expend 4 charges to cast the stone shape spell. This version of the spell can alter the form of either stone or natural metal (such as iron or silver).
Alternatively, you can use the wand to cast the illusory script spell over the course of 1 minute by expending 1 of its charges, but can only use it to write on stone or metal surfaces.
The wand regains 1d6 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the wand's last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, It cannot regain charges naturally for 3 days.
This simple screwdriver can transform into a variety of tools; as an action, you can touch the item and transform it into any type of artisan's tool of your choice. Whatever form the tool takes, you are proficient with it.
As an action, you can focus on the tool to channel your creative forces. Choose a cantrip that you don't know from any class list. For 8 hours, you can cast that cantrip, and it counts as an artificer cantrip for you. Once this property is used, it can't be used again until the next dawn.
