Wondrous Item, uncommon

This simple cauldron made of cast iron is embedded with runes and carvings chiseled and scrapped into the metal; a small copper tap popping out of its lower half. It is an appliance typically used by hunter guilds to process and refine the spoils and remainders of a beast or monster, designed to be relatively portable and to create fast profit out of different materials without the constant need of an alchemist, although the work is not as precise and efficient as when used by an alchemist.

The cauldron has two different funcions:

Refine. Introducing the salvaged items inside and a gallon of water and speaking the command word starts the refinement. Any magical or magic-channeling substance may be used for this. After 1d4 hours the process finalizes and a refined version or the item remains inside; e.g. introducing a chunk of mined rock may separate and give back any magical residue that it had.

Brew. Introducing the salvaged items insde and a gallon of water and speaking the command word starts the brewing. Any organic matter that comes from a magic creature or items of the sorts can be used for this. After 3d4 hours the process ends and a potion with magical properties related with the introduced item is what remains. Use the tap to pour it into a vial. This function can only be used once a day. It is up to the DM's discretion what potion may result of an specific item. E.g. if the scales of a dragon are used a dragon breath potion or a resistance to its corresponding element potion may result; if the stinger of a pseudodragon is put in, then a poison vial may result. (Get creative!)

If interrupted, the proccess halts and all ingredients are lost, the cauldron ready to be used again. If used by a person with proficiency with Alchemist's Supplies, the times are cut in half thanks to the adding of ingredients to the mix that help the process.
