Zuzu Allanda was an orphaned half elf, living in relative destitution and squalor in the slums of her homeland. The one bright moment in her life occurred when a travelling minstrel gave her a single white rose in exchange for the promise of a favour upon his return. Years went by and Zuzu all but forgot the promise she had made when one day, she saw the travelling bard, now famous across the land and she rushed up to him, eager to fulfill her vow. Charmed by her forthrightness and sense of honour, the minstrel revealed to her that he was actually a powerful wizard in disguise and he granted her yet another white rose; one that was encased in a delicate crystalline garment. It was a rare item, one that would protect her from the wiles of those who would seek to harm and manipulate and even had the power to charm any around her, as she had charmed the wizard. Zuzu kept the crystal rose until her death where it passed to a friend and was eventually sold to a local merchant.
