While attuned to this item, you have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Also while attuned to this weapon, when you hit a target with it, thorny vines start to sprout from thw open wound. The target must make a Strength saving throw (the DC equals to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma modifier, your choice). On a failed save you deal additional piercing damage equal to 2d4 + the modifier of the ability score you choose to set Thornvine's DC, and their speed is reduced by 10 feet. On a successful one the target takes half as much additional piercing damage and suffers no penalty to their speed.

Proficiency with a rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
