A device designed to facilitate emissarial conduct between land and water-based elves, granting its wearer water-breathing, faster swimming, and physical traits of a Sea Elf.
While wearing this amulet, you gain a swimming speed of 30 feet, and you can breathe both air and water. Additionally, any Aquan you hear is magically translated to Common in your mind, and you can choose for any Common you speak to be magically expressed as Aquan. Your body adjusts to accommodate these changes, taking on many Sea Elf features in the process.
While altered in this way, you have advantage on Charisma (Deception) and Charisma (Performance) checks when trying to pass yourself off as a Sea Elf to someone who is not intimately familiar with an actual Sea Elf. An actual Sea Elf is not likely to be fooled, however.
This amulet does not confer cultural aspects of Sea Elves such as weapon proficiencies or the ability to communicate with water-based lifeforms. While in the Sea Elf form however, you have the physical capacity to do anything that a Sea Elf could that you wouldn't otherwise be able to.
Your body still requires drinking water in your Sea Elf form. To assist with this, the compass-pendant at the base of the amulet conveniently always points to the nearest source of fresh water.
