This +1 half plate was granted to a hero long ago who asked for a boon that would grant him "the strength of many beasts"- this shining set of plate mail bears engravings of creatures of the field, forests, and skies. While attuned to this armor, the wearer is flocked to by animals of all sort- although usually the smallest and cutest. Constantly under the effects of the spell "Animal Friendship" the wearer may use a bonus action to command nearby critters to perform the "help" action for themselves or a nearby ally within 30ft. If the helpful creatures are damaged, they flee and will not return until combat has ended and 1d4 hours have passed.
All animals with a 4 INT or lower are effected by the "Animal Friendship" this armor grants, and are given no save.
Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.
