Wondrous Item, rare

This beautiful silver goblet is adorned with thin gold filigree patterning the top edge of the bowl and bottom edge of the base. It functions as a normal goblet and seems to adapt to its surroundings slightly, becoming more or less tarnished based on what would be most appropriate.

Once per day, you can pour any liquid into the goblet and speak a command word (of your choosing). The liquid inside the goblet becomes poisoned. Anyone who drinks from the goblet until the liquid is removed must succeed on a DC 13 Con saving throw or take 3d6 poison damage and be poisoned. At the start of each turn, they take 3d6 poison damage while poisoned by the goblet. They can make another saving throw at the end of their turn. An initial successful save results in half damage and no poisoned condition.

If they are successful, the damage decreases by 1d6. This continues until they manage to decrease the damage to 0.

(If this goblet is used to make poisons for a weapon, they only get the 3d6 damage on their weapon and the poisoned condition from a failed DC save. It does not continue to poison the victim as consuming it would. A successful Con Save reduces damage by half and the victim is not poisoned. )

Notes: Poisoned
