Wondrous Item, very rare (requires attunement by a short rest)
As a reaction to landing the killing blow on a creature the wearer of this amulet can absorb the essence of a creature and contain it for future use. It can hold only one essence at a time.
As long as the wearer is attuned they can use the essence in the amulet temporarily absorbing it into themselves and gaining properties of the creature. These properties vary and increase with the threat a creature poses. What properties an essence grants is up to the DM.
