Aegis Shield Bracelet

This shield functions identically to normal shields, however, it is in the form of a bracelet, and the wearer must be magically capable to use the shield.

The shield activates when the user has closed their hand into a fist for an identical amount of time it would take them to ready a normal shield, there can not be anything within the summoner's hand at the time of or during activation. When the fist is released, the shield dissipates. 
The shield will also dissipate if subjected to an event that would render an average shield unusable.

Upon activation, an aegis shield is projected a few inches away from the forearm. The projection will fail to activate if the shield would be in the space of another creature or object, or if the light from the bracelet is interrupted by an object or creature before forming the aegis.

The shield is considered magical and can be dispelled through spells and antimagic fields.

When an attempt to dispel the shield is made the DC is the caster's primary casting modifier + prof modifier.


The following is considered a normal shield for the purposes of the above considerations.

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
