Forged by the powers of personality and will, the artifacts Author and Erasure exist within the minds of those who are forced to wield them. Azura, fighting against her own corrupted self within the depths of Illithid technology, crossed time and reality to face who she once was, and whom she became.
Her own mind betrayed her, attempting to enforce its will as an absolute against her true self. Calling forth Erasure, her dark self attempted to wipe all that was good within Azura from existence. All that it saw as weakness.
Hope dimmed until the true self formed Author in counterpoint, levelling the battlefield. Darkness nearly won. The mind nearly broke, and the true self nearly failed. But fail it did not.
For, in the end, the one realized a simple truth: none of her victories had ever come from her hand alone. Her victory and strength lay not merely with herself, but in those she surrounds herself with. Armed with Author and the knowledge of this truth, Azura wrote victory upon herself and struck down the dark form wielder of Erasure. She secured her mind and found truth in her form. Through Author her mind became iron and her form immutable, for she has become the Author of her own fate.
