Weapon (whip), unknown rarity

This unique weapon consists of a piercing blade attached to a rope made out of desert sheep's wool, dyed in crimson paint. This is a very versatile weapon, but it is difficult to master, as the user needs to use their entire body to control it, using their legs, arms and neck to build momentum.

This weapon is two handed, and the user may not hold any other objects or weapons, including shields. It is a martial melee weapon (range 15/20) and has the finesse and thrown properties to it.

The rope dart deals 1d8 piercing damage.

When a proficient user is wielding the rope dart, it grants them the following options for combat, called Master's Tricks:

(each trick spends one Focus Point. The user's maximum number of Focus Points is determined by their proficiency bonus. All of the points are restored after a long rest.)

Trip: The user may use a bonus action to attempt a shove attack, tripping a creature with the rope and knocking them prone.

Disarm: The user may use a bonus action to attempt to use a disarming attack from the Battle Master fighter subclass.

Choke: The user may use a bonus action to attempt a grapple attack.

Parry: As a reaction, the user adds 3 to their AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, the user must see the attacker.

Retrieve: The user may use a bonus action to attempt to grab and pull a small object within range of the weapon. This is made with a Dexterity (sleight of hand) check, the DC chosen by the DM.

Proficiency with a Whip allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.

Notes: Finesse, Reach, Slow
