Ada's Pretty Pony is a rare wondrous magical item. It appears as a small one inch tall and 1.5 inch long brass figurine of a saddled pony with brass wheels at the feet. The horse and base are covered with intricate engraved markings in a lost language. When held to the nose of a normal pony or horse for 1 minute, the horse is transformed into a spectral pony that appears beside the summoner awaiting its rider, and is visible only to the summoner/rider and other creatures that can see the ethereal. The pony uses normal pony stats except for speed (which is 400ft )and can only be targeted or damaged from the ethereal plane. If reduced to zero HP the Pony reverts back to a normal horse and figure and the rider is ejected back onto the material plane and takes the equivalent damage of a 20 foot fall.
Mechanics: Travel by normal pony is two hexes per day. Ada's Pretty Pony travels without tiring and can travel 20 hexes in one full 24 hour day. It is capable of carrying one rider and his equipment. It cannot take a passenger other than the rider. An unconscious person may be tied over the saddle of the pony but another pony with conscious rider must lead them. Ada's Pretty Pony travels via the ethereal plane so horse and rider are not seen (except by the summoner/rider) from the material plane unless the viewer can see the ethereal. When the Pony stops at its destination it transforms back into the brass figurine and must rest for the number of additional days the travel would have taken by normal pony.
