Staff (quarterstaff), very rare (requires attunement by a Cleric, Druid, or Warlock)

The ancient staff A'gleidesh, once wielded by the ancient wizard Merlin the Great, It has been lost to time and is kept in a forgotten dungeon guarded by the Fire giant Krognir the Demonic Harbinger.

 

 

This staff has 3 charges and regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn.

The staff can be wielded as a magic quarterstaff. On a hit, it deals damage as a normal quarterstaff+ d20 damage,  and you can expend 1 charge to deal an extra 2d20 necrotic damage to the target. In addition, the target must succeed on a DC 19 Constitution saving throw or have disadvantage for 3 hours on any ability check or saving throw that uses Strength, Constitution, Arcana, and Medicine.

Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
