Astrolabe of Spousal Location

This spherical golden astrolabe can be collapsed into a flat disk roughly the size of a pocket watch. It comes with two simple gold rings. As an action, you can expand the astrolabe to activate it and place one of the two gold rings into the center. When set on any stable surface or held in the palm of a hand, the astrolabe will hover up to 1 foot in the air and point in the direction of the other ring, so long as it is on the same plane of existence, regardless of distance.

If the other ring is on another plane of existence, the astrolabe will spin in slow circles for 1 minute and then collapse of its own accord.

The astrolabe will remain active for up to 24 hours, or until it is deactivated.
