Cursed. Once attuned to this armor you can not take off the armor willingly unless someone uses 9th level greater restoration or a wish spell to temporarily stop the curse
Dormant
While wearing the armor in its dormant state, you gain the following benefits:
- The armor grants you a +2 bonus to AC.
- This plate armor does not have the speed reduction or stealth disadvantage of normal plate armor
- While you are transformed by an effect that replaces any of your game statistics with those of another creature, you have a +1 bonus to melee attack and damage rolls, and you retain the benefits of this armor.
- your nails grow into claws that do 1d4 slashing
- As an action, you can use the armor to cast polymorph on yourself, transforming into a giant rat while retaining your Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores. This property can’t be used again until the next dawn.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
