This amulet holds a collection of Crimson Shards in a specific orientation that unlocks some of their latent magic. As an action, you can connect yourself to this magic, granting you access to its power. This connection ends if your attunement to it ends. You can use the amulet as a spellcasting focus while you hold or wear it.
When you use a Metamagic option on a spell that uses 2 or more sorcery points while you are holding or wearing the amulet, immediately after casting the spell you can skip time for 1 round. When you skip time, you are able to act as if your turn has just begun again, resetting all your actions. During this round, you are the only one able to take any actions, reaction, bonus actions, etc. Any effects that rely on the creature being aware of your presence do not effect you* and creatures cannot make any opportunity attacks against you*. At the end of this round, all of these effects end and you are the only creature who can remember what occurred*.
