Used to mark the indentured changeling slaves, this signifies the legal acquisition of a changeling by an owner. By law all indentured Changelings must keep their mark on their person at all times.
This mark has been carefully altered by the nimble fingers of the Changeling Arthur. Arthur's childhood companion Tom saw that all proper documentation and legal proceedings were in place after the death of Arthur's parents. From a legality standpoint, Arthur was an indentured servant to Tom, though Tom treated Arthur with care and respect always.
One day while travelling Arthur used some of the tools aboard Tom's wagon to file parts of the medallion down. The shackles on the face of the medallion now are shown to be broken.
While Arthur is in their unchanged form, displaying the medallion grants advantage on Charisma based checks against Humans.
