This box contains a set of parchment cards. A full deck has only 5 cards.
The magic of the cards functions only if cards are drawn at random (you can use an altered deck of playing cards to simulate the deck). You can use a bonus action to draw a card at random from the deck and hold it high over your head. The drawn card then vanishes from your hand and shuffles itself back into the deck.
A magical rune from the selected card marks a creature of your choice that you can sense within 60 feet of yourself. The effects of the rune last for 1 hour, until it is dispelled with Dispel Magic or a similar effect, the magic of the rune is triggered, or until you draw a new card.

| Eight of Clubs | The marked creature makes its next saving throw with a +8 bonus. |
| Joker | You do not select a creature, and instead you drop to 0HP and immediately make 1 death saving throw at disadvantage. Effects that prevent your HP from dropping instantly to 0 cannot prevent this outcome. |
