Like plate armor, this suit of armor is made up of multiple pieces that connect together to offer great protection over the entire body. A full suit includes torso, legs, boots, gauntlets, and a helmet. This suit, however, is made from the strong carapace of the ankheg, granting the wearer greater mobility due to the lighter weight without sacrificing durability. This means that the wearer can receive a bonus from their dexterity score as well as move stealthily without imposing disadvantage.
This armor consists of a fitted metal chest piece worn with supple leather. Although it leaves the legs and arms relatively unprotected, this armor provides good protection for the wearer's vital organs while leaving the wearer relatively unencumbered.
