Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement)

Tethered: Once both swords are united one again, they will start to bond with the user as they will both grant you their own respective boon. Both weapons become +1 weapons and the damage types of the swords can be changed. Aurora now becomes a weapon that can change to radiant damage instead of slashing, while Vesper can change to necrotic instead of slashing.

Commandments: Both of these swords grant you some spells that you can cast equal to you pact magic slots (max of 5th level). These spells are given under a commandment that can only have one option of spell per commandment casted at a time (ex. Using the Vitality commandment to cast False Life through Vesper has you lose the ability to cast Cure Wounds through Aurora until recharged).

Keeping the Balance: There are rewards for keeping the balance and punishment for break them. If you successfully hit someone with one of the swords, you get a +1 bonus to that attack and damage roll of your next attack in you use the other sword in tandem. You can only use this benefit once per turn.

In contrast, if you attempt to cast a disproportionate amount of commandment spells favoring one sword over the other (ex. casting 3 commandment spells favoring Vesper), you have to make a Charisma saving throw equal to you Spell Save DC + 1. If you succeed you take 2d6 psyching damage and are able to cast the spell as normal. On a failed save you take 4d6 psychic damage and you lose the benefits of wielding the swords until the next dawn.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
