Wondrous Item, legendary (requires attunement)
This simple compass is made of Blackleaf wood from the Faewoods and has a mithril needle. It is enchanted in such a way that if an individual spends a short rest focusing their mind on a person, place or thing, the compass will no longer point north but instead point in the direction of the envisioned person, place, or thing as long as the person, place, or thing in question exists and resides on the same plane as the compass.
