This gnarled dark wooden cane looks by every observation normal. Unfortunately for your enemies that is far from the truth. Ancient Root was born of the Feywild in a region known as The Thorny Thicket.
When struck your enemy suffers blunt terrible force trauma, but it doesn't end there. Sharp thorns grow from Ancient Root, pierce the target and then break off into them. New thorns replace the ones that have broken away immediately and yet the torture continues. At the height of the weapons power a thorny entanglement of vines spouts from the surrounding ground and restrains them.
