Hidden in the crypt of the dragon for whom it is named, Anduskturace glimmers with radiant etchings of draconic enchantment, each like the noonday suns. Its tan scabbard is decorated with a single, cut topaz in the shape of a four-pointed star upon each of its two faces.
You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. It has the following additional properties.
Banish Undeath
While you are attuned to it, your weapon deals an extra 1d4 necrotic damage. This additional damage ignores any resistances or immunities to necrotic damage for undead.
Whenever you land a critical hit against an undead with this blade, it must make a Constitution saving throw equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your intelligence modifier. If the creature fails, it suffers the effects of the banishment spell.
When an undead is successfully banished back to its home plane this way, Anduskturace grants you temporary hit points equal to the banished creature’s hit point maximum. These hit points fade after 24 hours.
Ambassador to Dragons
While you hold the weapon, you are aware of the presence and general direction of dragons within 1 mile, so long as they are not obscured by anything that blocks divination magic. Additionally, while holding the weapon, you can understand dragons as though we’re speaking your native language, and they understand you in a likewise manner. You also have advantage on saving throws against being frightened by dragons.
Anduskturace can cast the dragon’s breath spell on you once per day. It decides when to cast the spell and maintains concentration on it so that you don’t have to.
Sentience
Anduskturace is a sentient chaotic neutral weapon with an Intelligence of 18, a Wisdom of 16, and a Charisma of 18. It has hearing and truesight out to a range of 120 feet.
The weapon can speak, read, and understand Draconic, and can communicate with its wielder telepathically. Its voice is deep and rumbling. While you are attuned to it, Anduskturace shares all of your senses.
Personality
Anduskturace speaks with a bold, yet annoyed tone, as though it bewildered that anyone would disturb its peace, despite often being the one to speak up first.
The dagger’s purpose is to carry on with life. It was made by the dragon named Rithrax as his final act to prolong his life. The dagger believes itself to truly be Anduskturace himself, and will become aggravated if it is ever insinuated that it is anything less, such as a clone or a mere series of memories. Anduskturace’s goals in prolonging it’s life is unknown, and it will try to avoid such conversations at all costs.
Despite its refusal to talk about its goals, Anduskturace will speak openly about its disgust of the undead. If Anduskturace detects undead nearby, it will take any opportunity to lead its wielder in that direction to destroy it.
Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Nick. When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
