As part of a short or long rest, a character may consume multiple Experience Chunks to gain a level. The number of Chunks required is equal to the level that will be reached: to go from level 5 to level 6 requires 6 Chunks, and then to go to level 7 takes 7 Chunks.

Each time a character earns an Experience Chunk the Chunk is immediately and permanently bound to that character. Characters may trade Experience Chunks but a Chunk can only be used by the character it was first bound to.
