An Animated Bear Trap is a construct designed for discriminating buyers that desire a bit more tenacity in their physical security. The Bear Trap lies in wait until a specific condition is met, and then it attacks relentlessly. Examples include: 'anyone not wearing a specific signet ring enters an area', or 'anyone that opens a desk drawer without singing "The Alphabet Song" first.' Most ABT's are named, and given time may develop certain... quirks. It cannot stray more than ten feet from its original set location without specific permission from the owner.
Keen Senses. The ABT has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d8 + 5) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or take an extra 3 (1d6) piercing damage and be Grappled (escape DC 13). The ABT can have only one creature Grappled in this way at a time.
